Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma attended the Dragon School. Emma chose to be an actor when she was six. For several years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. From the age of 10, she took part as the lead in several Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of the year 2001. Critics were impressed with the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British newspaper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the movie.
