MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. In Medellin in 2017, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia is released in 2020 by Noriel as well as his Dopamina album the following year. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo has a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. In interviews, Turizo has said that music is essential. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar as well as piano and ukulele. He initially wanted to be a vet, but after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with a Cuban singer, he changed the direction of his career.
